In the Name of Fun, Art and Science: Kiddie Activities this June

School is out by June and for sure, children will want to go out and have fun during their mid-year holiday. After months of homework and going to class, they are without a doubt, on the lookout for adventure.

Apart from bringing your kids to amusement parks where they can enjoy ride after ride, why not bring them where they can experience art, science and culture at the same time?

Here are a few places you might want to visit during the holidays.

Sentosa – The State of Fun brings you MOSH!, Singapore’s first digital media edutainment facility. The venue offers a unique interactive experience that will encourage your child’s creative side. Children can bring their imaginary worlds to life through state-of-the-art multimedia technology from Japan, making it the perfect place to spend time with family and an excellent platform for self-discovery.

The Tinker Hub

This organisation offers holiday camps for children ages 4 to 12 years old and children can enjoy a wide variety of activities ranging from literary arts to robotics. The events available in June include ‘Dr. Seuss’ Animal Science’ (7 to 9 June 2017) and ‘Casefiles of Detective Reynolds: #1 The Case of the Museum Burglary’ (7 to 9 June 2017).

Singapore International Children’s Film Festival

On 3, 10 and 11 June 2017, families can enjoy seven collections of short films that will enrich and inspire children. It will feature Roald Dahl’s ‘Riveting Tales and the Oscar-winning ‘Sing’.

HeART Studio

Ongoing until 9 June 2017, the organisation is holding six programs during the holidays. Children will be painting various subjects ranging from Disney Princesses and Pokémon to dinosaurs and sea creatures.

Through these activities, children can still learn even on holiday. This goes to show that children can have fun while experiencing new things and, who knows, maybe your child will find a new hobby or even get a sense of what they want to do when they grow up.
