Londoners value their art, history and the city’s rich heritage; many museums within the city offer free entrance. If you want to see the portraits of some of the United Kingdom’s most important people, head to the National Portrait Gallery. Visit the Natural History Museum to see history through the lens of science. Other options include the Tate Britain and Victoria and Albert Museum.
London has a wealth of parks and gardens where you can take a break after a long day of touring. The first places that will come to mind are Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Other magnificent parks include Queen Mary’s Rose Gardens. If you want to see the city from a higher perspective, you can always visit Primrose Hill in London’s northern area.
Your London trip will never be complete if you do not get to marvel at some of the city’s monumental and longstanding architectural works.
